The FGM is a member of Community Foundations of Canada (CFC),
an organization numbering over 178 community foundations that reach thousands of communities across Canada, and whose collective assets total more than $3 billion.

The FGM can therefore count on the support and experience of many other CFC foundation members, the oldest of which was founded in Winnipeg in 1921.
