Université de Montréal
Social development

The Faculty of Veterinary Medecine, University of Montréal (FMV) in Saint-Hyacinthe is an internationally recognized francophone institution. The FMV is dedicated to excellence and innovation and to providing leadership in animal health, and food and public safety through its research and community services. Together with the Bon Dieu dans la rue, homeless youth have access to a veterinary clinic thirteen evenings per year for the treatment of their animals. Concerns over the health of these animals and of certain contamination risks to the owners due to parasites are behind the origins of the project. This project, supported by the FGM, involves third-year PhD program students of the FMV and the Technology program students of the Animal Health College of St. Hyacinthe.
