Greater involvement in the community over the last three years
From 2012 to 2014, total grants rose from $1.3 million to $4.1 million, an increase of more than $2.8 million in three years. The Foundation isdelivering more and more financial support to important initiatives by organizations that work with vulnerable people.
In 2014, the FGM helped more than 319 charities by serving as the link between donors and local organizations, based on its mission to make Greater Montréal a healthy and welcoming environment for education, health, culture and community services.
The FGM will pay special attention to projects addressing the following issues: school retention, inclusiveness (diversity), local greening initiatives, mental health and homelessness, community art, domestic violence and inclusion (community engagement).
